Winter Joy

Silver sun, silver sea
dancing gulls, selkie sweet
laughing winds, scattered snow
click of needle, mend & sew.

Hearty stews, ancient tales
dark of morning, hefting bales
daring rescues, secrets kept
mirrie dancers, overslept.

Ceilidh spirit, neighbours kind
come together, lives entwined
family dear, kinship strong
daylight precious, nights a long.

Comfy armchair, radio plays
cosy cuppa, quiet days
crackling fire, slippered feet
snug nights in, life's complete.
