Sacred Anarchy: Re-Wild your Heart

Sacred Anarchy: Re-wild your Heart

If we think of anarchy as the art of relating freely as equals, we might see this as a beautiful ideal for humanity and something that could take a lot of practice. Fortunately for us, the ancient tradition of Yoga offers simple yet profoundly life-changing practices that help us experience anarchy, in the best sense of the word, directly with vitality and joy!

Together we will listen to inspiring words from great spiritual teachers in the anarchist tradition, bringing together with heart meditation, maybe a little simple, gentle chair yoga and open-hearted discussion.

This is a wonderful opportunity to discover, ever more deeply, how spiritual practice can support both personal and social transformation. You will go away from the session inspired with practical techniques you can use to remain centred and vibrant, even in challenging situations.

Together, we can help shift from the focus from ‘I’ to ‘we’ , from ‘ego’ to ‘eco’ and help nurture a society of people who care for our world, each other and for ourselves.

Sound good? All welcome, regardless of experience or ability.

Vishwam Heckert received a PhD from the University of Edinburgh (2005) for his research on sexuality, love and anarchy before moving south and training as an Integral Yoga teacher and then a Heart Of Living Yoga teacher & trainer. Following over 20 years of dedicated, heartfelt practice, he now runs meditation facilitator trainings, as well as offering yoga classes, workshops & an upcoming retreat in September. Vishwam has a peaceful, playful and poetic way of sharing these practices of freedom.
